Welcoming The Future

"Great blessings belong to those
who don’t listen to evil advice,
who don’t live like sinners,
and who don’t join those who make fun of God."
Psalms 1:1

We all have past with painful stories or experiences which leaving wounds and haunting you up-to-the-minute.

Albeit those experiences had already passed,
they do not want to move from your soul,
they keep haunting in front of your eyes,
they affect your mindset and behavior,
they frighten you, steal your confidence, clog your ways, and frustrate you.

It seems our past does not want to go away,
Even it fuses here and now and hinders our future.

It is very tormenting..

Apart from it, if we want to reach  our successful and pleasant future; we have to leave our darkest past.

We have no choice,
accuse we cannot live at two moments.

Failure, Mistake, Foolishness, and Bad Fortune in the past; they are indeed very hurting.
But it does not mean one failure will be a failure forever.

We can learn from the past!

Foolishness can be discernment,
Carelessness can be awareness,
Fragility can be endurance,
Naivety can be maturity.
If we want to take the wisdom, reason, and purpose behind all those things.

Learning from the past and welcoming the future.

Valentine Special Edition: Not A Promise, But A Proof

Not A Promise, But A Proof

He who is faithful (trusted - NIV) in what is least is faithful trusted) also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.
Lucas 16:10 - NKJV

Martha Berry built a school for poor children  around 1900. One time, she submitted a sponsorship proposal to Henry Ford, a founder of Ford car and a millionaire. He gave only a small amount of money, but Martha Berry did not complain or got angry.

She used that money to buy seeds, then she motivated those children to plant the seeds at school fields. Those seeds grew very well. First harvest was bought for a piano. From that moment, their school was well-known for self seed-planted.

Need to be acknowledged, Martha Berry has a rare character.

Nowadays, majority of people will complain when they get something unexpectedly. In prayers, it also happen rapidly. Often we say,

"if  I have wealth like him or her, I will use them wisely."

"If I am in his or her position, I will not do that or this."
Etc...

But..
God sees Faith and Faithfulness not based on what you will do in the future. God is a god who knows our heart and knows what you will do beforehand.
Therefore, does it sound ridiculous if we think we can persuade God with promises that we will do this or that, or if HE gives what we want?

Just prove that you are worthy enough to receive those things.
Prove yourselves to be faithful in small things, so you will receive big things.

God Bless You :D
Happy Valentine!

Peacemaker

PEACEMAKER

"For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil."
1 Peter 3:12 - KJV

Words of God teach us to be faithful with Christ's characters when we confront trials and tribulation.

We have to respond evil things with good things!
Do not reply with the same attitude! (read: evil)

If you retaliate evil with evil,
what is the difference between you and them?

"Whoever (earnestly) seeks good finds favor,
but evil (trouble) comes to one who searches for it."
Proverbs 11:27-- NIV (NKJV)

Be a PEACEMAKER :D

"Who is the man who desires (lust) life,
And loves many days, that he may see good (beauty)?
Keep your tongue from evil (profanity),
And your lips from speaking deceit.
Depart (turn your back) from evil and do good;
Seek (embrace) peace and pursue it (don't let it get away)."
Psalms 34:12-14--NKJV (The Message)

Edisi Spesial Hari Imlek 2014: "Teleskop" untuk Dunia

"Teleskop untuk Dunia

"Aku akan memuji-muji nama Allah dengan nyanyian, mengagungkan Dia dengan nyanyian syukur;"
(Mazmur 69:30 - TB)

Selamat datang kembali dalam blog saya. Saya harap Anda dalam keadaan luar biasa :)

Bagaimana perayaan Hari Imlek Anda? Pasti sangat luar biasa, bukan?

Selamat Hari Minggu! Tuhan Berkati!

CNY 2014 Special Edition: "Telescope" for the World

"Telescope" for the World

"I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving."
(Psalms 69:30 - KJV)

Welcome back to my blog. I hope this post finds you well :)

How about your Chinese New Year Celebration? It must be great for sure, mustn't it?
Now, I am going to share what I have got from www.desiringgod.org
Once I ever heard about this sermon "Magnifying God" (not exactly the same), it blessed me abundantly. Therefore, I will use this opportunity to share what God had shared to me. I hope you enjoy and feel overflowing blessings of God.

The word "magnify" can be used in two different senses.

It can mean: make something appear greater than it is, as with a microscope or a magnifying glass.
Or...

It can mean: make something that may seem small or insignificant appear to be as great as it really is. This is what our great telescopes help us begin to do with the magnificent universe.

So there are two kinds of magnifying: microscope magnifying and telescope magnifying. The one makes a small thing look bigger than it is. The other makes a big thing begin to look as big as it really is.

When David says, "I will magnify God with thanksgiving," he does not mean: "I will make a small God look bigger than He is. He means: "I will make a big God begin to look as big as He really is."
We are not called to be microscopes, but telescopes. There is nothing and nobody superior to God. And so the calling of those who love God is to make His greatness begin to look as great as it really is.
Feel, think, and act in a way that will make God look as great as he really is.

Be a telescope for the world!

"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31)

Through this opportunity, I would also say Happy Chinese New Year 2014!
Happy Sunday! God Bless You
